The Organising Committee of ORLEN Warsaw Marathon has decided to set a new date of the second edition of the National Celebration of Running. Due to the canonisation ceremony of the Holy Father John Paul II, planned for 27 April 2014, the date of ORLEN Warsaw Marathon has been changed to 13 April 2014.
Hundreds of pilgrims are sure to travel to the Vatican City and other places of cult in order to celebrate the beatification of the Polish Pope. These crowds will certainly include many sportsmen and running enthusiasts. As we do not want them to have to resign from participation in our prestigious running event, the second edition of ORLEN Warsaw Marathon has been moved to 13 April 2014. Those runners who cannot participate in the event due to its new date and have already paid the starting fees will have their money returned.
With the new event date, other deadlines have changed as well:
- Registration online is possible until 2 April 2014.
- The starting packs for the marathon run and the 10 km run can be claimed between 9 and 12 April 2014.
- The starting packs for the walkathon can be claimed between 9 and 11 April 2014.
- The 3 km walkathon will take place on 12 April 2014.
The new edition of ORLEN Warsaw Marathon will be even more impressive and aiming at an even higher level of sporting experience. Register now to pay the discounted starting fee for the marathon run (PLN 79.00), which will change after 31 October, or the discounted starting fee for the 10 km run (PLN 59.00), valid only until the end of the year. Disabled persons and persons over 70 years of age are exempt from the starting fees. Participation in the charity walkathon is free of charge.
